As part of  the Communication Plan for Non-Revenue Water Reduction Project, implemented by Jordan Water Company-Miyahuna and funded by USAID, an open day was organized at Miyahuna Customer Service Office at Tareq/Tabarbour area  on 27/10/2016 to educate local community about Project’s achievement especially network rehabilitation and water meter replacement , reflected by reduction of  non-revenue water  from 45% to 23% at targeted areas at Tareq, consequently leading towards  better water supply to customers.


Not less than (400) visitors representing Tareq local community especially women and school children were directly engaged with Miyahuna specialists to discuss Project’s achievements and newly replaced water meter specifications, they also acquired knowledge and attended live shows about water quality issues, water tank cleaning, floating valves specifications, water demand management & water conservation at household level.


(400) water saving devices were distributed to visitors for free to install at their homes, in addition to water customized gifts for women, children water saving stories and coloring books aiming at changing their behaviors for better water use efficiency.

Also 15 special brochures were distributed to visitors for better understanding about water issues at households.
